ERIN ESTATE BOHO WEDDING: A Tale of Love and Bohemian Charm

From the moment I met Mona, there was an instant connection. She shared with me that "boho wedding" was her go-to phrase for Google searches when hunting for wedding inspiration. We both chuckled at the coincidence; it felt like a match made in bohemian heaven. Mona has this innate warmth that makes you feel like you've been friends for years, a trait that draws people to her effortlessly.

Arriving at Erin Estate, I found Mona and Shawn getting ready on-site, each taking over a floor of the beautifully textured house, adorned with bohemian velvets and rich wooden charm. This interior perfectly complemented the wild, woodsy outdoor space they had chosen for their boho wedding day.

Mona's bohemian style was impeccable, from her unique ring to the wildflowers that matched her free-spirited attire - a skirt and shirt combination that was both elegant and unconventional. She was truly a bohemian beauty set against the woodland backdrop.

A Forest Ceremony Blending Cultures

The ceremony was held across a charming wooden bridge in the forest, where a beautifully modified Sofreh Aghd awaited, blending Canadian traditions with Persian rituals. The sugar rubbing and honey exchange, quintessential to Persian weddings, were highlights, with the ceremony conducted in both English and Farsi, making it accessible and special for all guests. It was intimate, laid-back, and a true reflection of Mona and Shawn's personalities.

Cocktail Hour with a Personal Touch

The lawn of Erin Estates became the stage for cocktail hour, featuring a vintage seating area and handmade lawn games, all under the entertainment of a live band. Mona even surprised Shawn with a song, adding a personal touch to the festivities.

The Tented Reception

The reception unfolded under a white tent, continuing the boho woodland theme with harvest tables set with black-on-black plates and napkins, vintage brass candle-holders, and uniquely styled table numbers. The bride and groom's chairs were adorned with custom macrame, and the cake table was a scene straight out of a fairy tale when we moved it to the forest for photos.

A Night of Celebration

This wedding was a dreamlike woodland vision, intimate and reflective of Shawn and Mona's carefree spirits. The reception was all about fun, where Shawn's high energy led the dance floor, blending two cultures over music, laughter, and heartfelt speeches. It was a night where two worlds came together, celebrating the union of Mona and Shawn in a way that was unforgettable.
